My bucket list once had nearly 100 things I wanted to do or accomplish in my lifetime. Life has been about trying new things, seeing new places, and gathering experiences rather than just "things." My list has slowly dwindled over the years, though it's certainly longer than ten items. These happen to be the ones most often on my mind.
- Return to Scotland
- Stay in the haunted hotels and castles of Scotland, Ireland, and England
- Tour Australia and New Zealand
- Learn how to scuba dive
- Swim with dolphins
- Live abroad
- Ride a horse on the beach
- Visit the Africa Heartwood Orphan Home in Liberia
- Grant a wish
- Adopt a child
I think you've got a nice bucket list going there! Riding a horse on the beach is fun, but I would definitely like to do it again someday when the weather isn't all of 20 degrees :) A few things I can think of that I'd like to do is take my kids to Disney, go on a vacation to a tropical destination with just my hubby, and visit/stay on a working ranch in Texas with my best friend.
ReplyDeleteI've only ridden horses in the mountains, and riding on the beach looks like so much fun (though probably not in 20 degrees! You have some nice things on your list, too. Hope you get to make them happen!
DeleteGreat bucket list, some I would enjoy, too. My bucket list includes visits to New Orleans, Savannah, GA (ghosts), Portland, OR (tunnels under the city), Disneyland (because I'm a kid at heart), Epcot Center, ziplining in Meramec Caverns (because I'm also a bit crazy), and cruises to Alaska (because that's where hubby wants to go), and a Mediterranean cruise (because that's where I want to go!). All subject to change, of course.
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to go to Alaska and the Mediterranean, but cruises terrify me, despite my love of the ocean. There's an adventurous soul in you, Karen! :)
DeleteThere are so many places I would like to visit..at the moment I'm in Ireland as in I'm staying with a family and minding their kids and it's awesome..love Ireland..of course I love Italy too, after all I'm italian..nothing better than our food!!!
ReplyDeleteOh to be in Ireland right now! I'd have to say that it's at the top of my list at the moment, tied with returning to Scotland. And I completely agree with you about Italian food--nothing better.
