Three Sisters Island collection by Nora Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is my favorite Nora Roberts trilogy after Irish Born and most likely because it's filled with magic yes, but Roberts also throws in a good punch of romance and adventure. Nell the baker, Ripley the tough cop, and Mia the cool, calm bookstore/cafe owner. I will admit though that Booke (see book two) is my favorite character out of all three stories. I suppose it's because he's so charming and doesn't care one whit what the rest of the world thinks about him - those are my favorite characters.
A magical island floating off the shores of Massachusetts, yet nothing appears out of the ordinary. Well, the other great part about this trilogy is that Roberts does a fantastic job of intertwining magic with everyday, ordinary lives. Of course in true Roberts fashion, there are a few scenes here and there, but easily skipped over. The stories are worth it.
