A Reader's Opinion: INTO THE FURY by Kat Martin

The Book
"I love her books!" —Linda Lael Miller

"Martin is superb." —RT Book Reviews

A bodyguard, a bounty hunter, a P.I.—the men of Brodie Operations Security Service, Inc. are down for the job. . .

Sinners, whores, and sluts beware—your time is at hand: a faceless menace is threatening lingerie models on a cross country tour, and Ethan Brodie is there to defend and protect.

Ethan's learned the hard way that beauty is no substitute for character. So even though Valentine Hart is one of the most breathtaking women he's ever seen, he's keeping his hands off and his eyes open. Or that's what he tells himself.

Then one of the models is murdered, and the closer Ethan gets to the answers, the closer he finds himself to Valentine—and the hotter the pressure feels. There's more to Val—more to the other girls—than he could have guessed. But one is keeping a secret that could kill them all.

A Reader's Opinion
I came into this first BOSS, Inc. novel after reading the Brodies of Alaska (which I highly recommend). I was expecting more of the same romance, adventure, and action as those books, and Martin didn't disappoint. I'm not a fan of the model scene, but the author did a great job creating a likable and relatable character in Valentine Hart.

Ethan is typical Brodie; tall, handsome, and willing to do whatever it takes for the people who matter to me. This particular Brodie is a little too "perfect," but he gets a pass because he's a Brodie (seriously, read the Brodies of Alaska).

Non-stop action, descriptive settings, and just enough conflict throughout to leave the reader wanting more. <Tweet This>

I did like the set up for the second book in the series, and hope it's not quite as heavy on the sex because I'd like to read more of the BOSS, Inc. novels.

Martin has written another fast-paced book filled with plenty of steam and action.*

*Content Note: I'm keeping this out of the review because not everyone feels the same way about content, but others like a warning. This one was heavier on the sex than I had expected, and it wasn't so much that it was there, but that there was so much of it. Great chemistry between the characters, but too much.
