Self-reflection isn't always fun, but we often come away a better person. 2014 has been a remarkable year. The year had it's ups and downs, and sometimes it might have been easier to give up than to press forward, but in the end, forward is the only option.
Taped to my computer screen is a graphic that reads Don't look back. You're not headed that way. It's a daily reminder that each day presents a new opportunity to be better, do more, help others, and to strive for greatness.
One of my greatest blessings of 2014 is the support of my readers. I have a wonderful team behind the scenes who help me to give you the best versions of my books, but you readers are the real magic behind what we do. It is because of you that I continue to have the courage to let go of my mistakes and publish more books.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
We can't erase the years that have passed, but we can look forward to the new year with hope in our hearts, ambition of spirit, and the inner strength to make possible what previously we believed impossible.
May we each find within ourselves the best version of ourselves, and do everything we can to become that person.
With many wishes for a spectacular new year!
