These pictures turned out surprising clear since I only had the camera on my Blackberry to take pictures this morning. Handling a regular camera while walking two leashed dogs is not easy. I like to take them walking where they can run instead of walk, but the river road is such a nice walk for me, and there are mile markers so I always know when I've hit the three miles, or if I have time for four before I head back home. The walks aren't long, but they're a nice way for me to start the day.
The annual Whitewater Festival is this weekend, and the river is looking good for it. I normally don't go because of the crowds, but this year they're adding rafting and a triathlon, along with activities for kids, so I thought it would be fun to take my niece and nephew to the events on Saturday.
Of course I could change my mind and head up to Glacier Park for the day . . .

Some of these are duplicated scenes, but it was too beautiful of a morning not to share.
Great shots - what a way to start your day!! I like the comparison of the peacefulness of the river and then the chaos of the rapids.
ReplyDeleteIt helps the day to begin well and motivates me to get a lot done. :) There's a dam about halfway down the trail--the river suddenly goes from calm to rapids.
