What Does Your Office Look Like: A Guest Post by Cesar

What Does Your Office Look Like
by Cesar

Originally when I got into writing I simply did not have an office, I would normally end up sat in front of the TV with my laptop.  As you can imagine it was very distracting, so then I changed my sleeping habits so that I could stay up late at night when the house was quieter so that I could get more done.  Sadly it only tended to use up more coffee supplies than anything else!
Eventually, as I could not avoid it anymore I decided to set up an office, but in a full house, I was stuck for choices.  I decided on a small hallway on the landing next to my bedroom.  I got out an electric saw and some pieces of wood and actually made my own desk to fit the space.  I went down to a charity shop and got a nice comfy office chair, and I set up my desktop computer.  It has a window directly above my head so there is plenty of natural light and I recently made a new purchase of a digital radio so that I can listen to some music whilst I am busy writing.  Next on my list is a decent coffee machine, then I think my office will be complete.
But ever since I got the office sorted I have noticed that when I sit down to write, I can get a lot more done in each sitting in comparison to the laptop-sofa-method,  I can write up to four times as much now in my office which is great.  Right now I am working mainly on the second installment of a young adult paranormal series.  Its a three-book-series about a boy who has dreams which start to come true, the first book will be released later this year, so keep an eye out!  It is simply called Boy who dreams.

The Book
This collection of 250 poems was written by Cesar during his late teens, and each piece of writing was originally intended to remain as a personal record of his journey with God. Yet the collection at some point became much more than mere thoughts about the world and God; they developed into poems, lyrics and poetry on a full range of subjects.

Then the writing stopped and the pages of thought and devotion were lost to time, gaining nothing but dust in an attic. That is where Cesar found them thirteen years later, and he chose to publish them as a testament to the influences which once surrounded his life, and as a dedication to God for his faithfulness.

The book is also dotted with hand drawn sketches which adds an additional level to the book.
